Job:

The App Product Manager will oversee the development, launch, and lifecycle management of mobile and web applications for a global audience. This role demands strategic planning, close collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to make swift, data-driven decisions. A strong command of English is required, and proficiency in Chinese is preferred to better collaborate with our international teams and serve our diverse user base.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals in a competitive global landscape.
    Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to shape the app’s strategic direction.
    Identify and prioritize user needs and pain points to guide feature development, enhancing user satisfaction and retention.
  • Product Development and Management: Work closely with design, engineering, and other key teams to develop features aligned with the app’s vision.
    Prioritize features based on user needs, market trends, and technical feasibility, adapting quickly as new data emerges.
    Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation through launch, growth, and ongoing updates in a fast-paced environment.
  • User Experience and Interface: Partner with UX/UI designers to create a seamless user experience tailored to a global audience.
    Use feedback and user research to continuously refine and improve app usability and functionality.
    Ensure all app features align with the intended user journey and global design standards.
  • Data Analysis and Optimization: Track and analyze app metrics like retention, engagement, and conversion rates for a diverse user base.
    Leverage data insights to drive continuous improvement, ensuring the app’s competitive edge.
    Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to validate hypotheses and enhance user experience.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support teams worldwide.
    Coordinate product launches with speed and precision, ensuring alignment across all teams.
    Lead regular meetings to keep stakeholders updated on product status, timelines, and any challenges.
  • Project Management and Execution: Set and manage product timelines, facilitating the timely delivery of updates and releases.
    Optimize project management processes to enhance efficiency and quality across global teams.
    Proactively address potential roadblocks to maintain momentum in a fast-paced work setting.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years in product management, ideally in mobile/web applications, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global work environment.
  • Skills:Strong understanding of the app development lifecycle and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
    Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions swiftly.
    Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, or Trello) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel).
    Exceptional communication and leadership skills; fluency in English is required, and Chinese proficiency is preferred.
    Experience in user research and A/B testing is advantageous.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with the global mobile app industry, including trends and best practices.
  • Knowledge of design thinking, UX/UI principles, and experience working with global design teams.
  • Experience with app monetization models, such as in-app purchases, subscriptions, or ad-supported structures.
