Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned regional product and technology portfolio to ensure it is relevant, competent, competitive and profitable, and aligned with the business strategy
- Own the Definition, Development and Commercialization of regionally-driven product development initiatives
- Work closely with the technical and marketing teams in the region and sub-regions, as well as with the Global Product Managers (GPM)
- Become regional subject matter expert (SME) for assigned products and technologies.
- Work with Portfolio Managers to leverage collections as an internal promotional tool for new products and technologies.
- Define product and technology needs and gaps, quantify opportunities, and establish business justification for new regional projects.
- Work with sub regions to craft and elevate compelling business cases to GPM on regional opportunities and needs (incl. sales/profit projections, regulatory requirements, product performance expectations). Acts as the core owner and APAC representative to GPM and the Science & Technology groups, ensuring projects for our region are brought to successful commercialization
- Provide input into the global product strategy built by the Global Product Managers
- Develop and maintain knowledge of competitor products, communicates changes and recommends corrective responses
- Lead, execute regional projects with delegated stakeholders and ensure the deliverables are met as per defined regional needs
- Drive the commercialization of products and technologies in the region lead by regional and global team
o Internally – Ensure the regional technical group is prepared to support the external launch of new products and technologies
o Externally with our customers - Ensure success at sub-regional level with a strong commercial mindset ( jointly develop promotional plan, arrange sales and technical force training, support sales in customer visits, resolve issues affecting commercial plan)
- Work with the Category and Marketing managers to develop value propositions, connect the dots between our scientific tools and technology capabilities, and our consumer and category insights
- Equip market technical team with the capabilities to win with new products and technologies
- Help deliver Sales and Gross Margin targets, working closely with Commercial Heads, and with the pricing team to define price levels
- Ensure that new ingredients and regional versions of flavours are provided to all Flavour Innovation Centres with all appropriate information related to the new products (regulatory requirement, pricing)
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master's in Food Science, Biology, or Chemistry
- Application, Product Development or Product Management or B2B Marketing within the food or flavour industry of at least 10 years in Savoury or Sweet segment
- Demonstrated project management skills with experience interacting and collaborating with commercial, marketing and technical teams
- Strong influencing skills and proven experience working across diverse teams like R&D, Sales, Marketing
- Market undersanding and looking for spaces where there are opportunities to develop the segment
