Maltem Asia is seeking an ETL Talend Lead based in Singapore.
Role Summary:
- Design, develop and deliver data integration/data extraction solutions using TALEND and Control-M for flow scheduling.
- Lead and mentor Talend Development Team.
- Bring in Governance around Code quality and norms & guidelines.
- Lead technical projects like upgradation, maintenance, decommission and improvements.
- Working closely with the Design Team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, Develop and Deliver Data Integration/Data Extraction solutions using Talend and Control-M for flow scheduling.
- Interact with stakeholders to understand and implement new requirements
- Migration experience from ETL IBM DataStage to Talend is plus.
- Building process and documentation of best practice, coding norms and guidelines, CICD process and Quality delivery.
- Debug data quality issues by analyzing the upstream sources and provide guidance
- Work closely with Architecture & designer in understanding business requirement and challenge them if it’s not following best practices.
- Able to lead-by-example, Mentor and train peers.
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of business operations and understands the technical scope and objectives of each project.
- Ensure that proper testing and quality control processes are established, implemented, and followed to enable high data integrity, volumes, and frequency.
- Provides support to Business Partners in analyzing specific business initiatives and identifying the appropriate application system solution through integration of processes, systems and information to fulfill business objectives.
- Closely working with Designers from Global Team.
Must Have Skillsets :
- 10+ years relevant experience on TALEND.
- ETL Talend 8, Talend 7.x, Unix, SQL
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
- Knowledge on Multi-Cloud Tenant and PaaS Architecture
- Data Integration design using multiple data format such as:
- Database, Flat File, XML, CSV, IDOC, mainframe
- Should have worked with optimizing techniques – adding Indexes, Caching, Lookups, etc
- Proven track record in using programming languages such as :
- Python
- JAVA
- KAFKA
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Ability to Lead the Team, Mentor and conduct Training.
- Process oriented with good documentation skills.
- Solid understanding of Agile Development methodologies and software project life cycle (SDLC) and associated methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish deep understanding of business or customer issues.
