A Research Assistant / Research Associate is critical to provide clinical research support to the Lead Principal Investigator and Team Leads who run the HELIOS Study, in such a manner that promotes good quality sample and research data collection.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Perform carotid ultrasonography for measurement of Carotid artery intima media thickness (CIMT) measurements based on the study protocol.
- Carry out analysis of the acquired images to quantify carotid arterial health.
- Assess and give suggestions to improve digital image/readings quality
- Contribute to the production of research reports and/or publications.
- Assist in co-ordination of project-related meetings.
- Undertake any other duties relevant to the programme of research.
Key Competencies and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (for Research Assistant) or Master’s degree (for Research Associate) in biomedical sciences, biotechnology or related fields.
- Skills in using statistical software, Microsoft software will be advantageous.
- 1 year of relevant experience in analyzing ultrasound and/or ophthalmic images would be advantageous. Training will be provided.
- Excellent trouble shooting, organization skills, and problem solving skills are also required as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
Training will be provided to level the skillsets needed to perform these roles.
