The Technical Superintendent will be responsible for the technical management of a fleet of offshore vessels. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, overseeing maintenance and repairs, and optimizing vessel performance while leading a team of technical professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical operations of offshore vessels, ensuring adherence to safety, regulatory, and performance standards.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs, ensuring vessels are maintained to the highest standards.
- Ensure all vessels comply with international maritime regulations, industry best practices, and company policies.
- Supervise and mentor technical teams, promoting a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and oversee budgets related to technical operations, ensuring cost-effective maintenance and repairs.
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors for procurement of services, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Lead investigations into technical incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.
- Prepare technical reports for senior management, detailing vessel performance, maintenance activities, and compliance status.
- Identify training needs for technical staff and organize relevant training sessions to enhance their competencies.
Requirements:
- Min Diploma in Marine Engineering, or related field.
- Min CoC Class 2 Certified.
- Min of 2 years experience as a technical superintendent, preferably in offshore sector.
- Seagoing experience for offshore vessels.
