About the role: The Automation Support has a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and industry-specific Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements. This role reports to the Automation Manager at the Singapore manufacturing site and is essential for ensuring the efficient operation and optimization of production processes.
Responsibilities:
- Address abnormal production situations and emergencies, such as process outages, critical alarms, or equipment failures.
- Diagnose issues and take immediate corrective actions or perform manual interventions with the Manufacturing supervisor or delegate to restore normal operations and prevent safety or quality incidents.
- Collaborate with the production team to maintain stability in production processes and ensure smooth operations.
Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement optimization strategies. - Assist Standard Users with system-related queries and issues.
- Provide support to manufacturing operations outside regular office hours, responding to urgent requests and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Be available for holidays and overtime as needed.
- Adjust work schedule as required to meet production demands.
- Participate in manual intervention remediation projects, identifying and implementing changes to the system, as well as performing test executions.
- Adhere to all applicable EHS requirements.
- Foster a fair and respectful environment, aligning behavior with company's Code of Conduct.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
About you:
- Degree / Diploma / Nitec in Chemical Engineering / Bioengineering / Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering / Pharmaceutical Engineering.
- Relevant years of experience: 2 - 4 years (Degree holders) OR 4 - 6 years (Diploma holders) OR 6 - 8 years (Nitec holders).
- Problem-Solving skills with the ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Skilled in navigating and utilizing PCS7 systems.
- Good interpersonal skills for effective communication and teamwork.
- Experience in optimizing processes and providing user support.
- Capable to work independently and manage support requests outside of regular office hours.
