Our client is one of the leading companies in the shipping (liner trade/ container) industry. They are currently seeking for Senior Operation Executive (Fuel Management) to be part of the team.
The ideal candidate will have toestablish the fuel consumption budget for all company vessels, track and evaluate daily fuel consumption indicators, monitor on-site fuelling operations, implement and supervise quantity inspections, seal management, and the discharge of oily water, with the aim of reducing fuel costs.
JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)
- Develop the fuel consumption budget, track, collect, and analyze fuel consumption data for the fleet.
- Analyze and study the relationships between schedule, speed, and fuel consumption, and formulate and adjust the sea mile fuel consumption indicators and voyage fuel consumption indicators.
- Track, collect, and analyze the monthly sea mile fuel consumption and the complete round-trip fuel consumption of vessels.
- Develop plans for quantity inspections and oily water discharge and implement and monitor these operations.
- Understand the management of fuel and lubricants on board vessels, analyze the reasons for excessive fuel consumption during voyages, and provide feedback on quantity inspection results.
- Implement and monitor the sealing of vessels during fuelling and oily water discharge operations.
- Arrange and implement focused inspections and monitoring for vessels with abnormal fuel consumption, issues found during quantity inspections, and problems discovered during oily water discharge.
- Conduct pre-boarding discussions with the captain and chief engineer, introduce the route conditions, clarify voyage fuel consumption indicators, and guide vessels in speed reduction for energy savings.
- Assess and evaluate the fuel consumption, oily water discharge, and seal management of owned and chartered vessels.
- Review fuel and lubricant fuelling documents and inspection reports; for disputed fuel quantities or quality concerns, provide feedback to the relevant departments for resolution and follow-up, maintaining records.
REQUIREMENT
- Educational Background: Associate Degree or above in a relevant field
- Work Experience: 5 years or more of experience in fuel, lubricants, or engine management for vessels
- Knowledge/Certifications: Knowledge of marine engine, navigation, or fuel and lubricant management
- Skills: Strong verbal communication and written organizational skills, good English listening and speaking abilities, and computer proficiency.
