This is an exciting opportunity to join our global Reward and Benefits team as Senior Reward & Benefits Manager, Asia, this role could be based in any of our Hong Kong or Singapore offices. You will be leading our reward and benefits strategy for our Asia offices. This role will have 2.5 direct reports to support the implementation and operations of our reward, benefits and wellbeing initiatives and process across the region.

Reporting into the Head of Reward & Benefits, the Senior Reward & Benefits Manager, Asia will be responsible for developing, managing, and delivering key reward and benefits strategies, projects and processes across the Asia region: namely in; Bangkok, Beijing, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo. They will be working with the regional HR leads, develop a total reward proposition that brings together salary, bonus, benefits, and recognition and support the implementation of relevant initiatives. Key to success in this role will be the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues across the Asia region to understand where reward and benefits interventions can have the most impact.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • We would expect the successful candidate to have approximately 3+ years' experience in a similar leadership role, but will consider those with less or more experience providing they meet the required competencies and can demonstrate success in a relevant role.
  • Technical knowledge of compensation and benefits structures in Asia highly desirable and previous experience of managing compensation and benefits schemes required.
  • Experience of legal sector fee earner reward strategies desirable but not essential
  • Strong understanding of compensation principles
  • Good understanding of market norms and best practice across different geographical territories
  • Practical knowledge of market data and survey provision including Towers Watson
  • Strong data manipulation skills, comfortable creating spread sheets from scratch where needed
  • Able to provide mentoring and insight to those less experienced
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel essential, plus working knowledge of Access and PowerPoint desirable
  • Analytical approach to problem solving, numerate
  • Client-focused, with strong interpersonal skills
