POSITION DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Being a core member of the team consisting of executives and patient service associates

  • Ensure all billing matters, insurance claims and payment collection are effectively and efficiently performed.
  • Assist HOD in establishing, implementing and reviewing all relevant SOPs, workflows and policies.
  • Ensure that quality customer services are provided by BO staff to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in AR, credit services and bad debt management.
  • Liaise closely with clinics, hospital’s finance department, relevant government entities and insurance companies on all BO-related matters.
  • Assist with lifting, moving and transporting patients.
  • Serve meals and remove meal trays.
  • Assist Staff / Enrolled Nurses under supervision.
  • Daily check on claims submission e.g. PMI, CPF, Govt Agencies etc.
  • Follow up on any claims issues encountered.
  • Rectify any erroneous claims rejected by the relevant parties, etc.
  • To perform regular audit checks on patient collections.
  • Perform admission process, bill estimation and data entry to filing of insurance claims forms and collection of deposits.
  • Perform cashiering and payment collections of credit card, cash, NETS and cheques from patients and alert admission executive to variances in the Cashiering Collection Report.
  • Handle customers’ queries pertaining to admission process and services provided.
  • Prepare and send out Consolidated Invoices for Corporate Clients.
  • Handle email and telephone enquiries relating to billing/payments, etc.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time by management.

QUALIIFCATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • GCE 'O' Level or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience preferably in healthcare industry
  • Team player with excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of accounting would be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Preferably able to communicate in Chinese due to liaising with Mandarin speaking patients
  • Must be able to do rotating shift work up to 12 hours (44 hours per week), include night shifts, Saturday, Sunday and Public holidays.
