Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent is responsible for maximizing overall revenue through development and implementation of effective inventory and pricing strategies based on demand and competitor analysis in order to gain market share.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive market share and revenue performance through proper pricing and mix management using competitive reports
- Develop overall pricing strategy to include all market segments and distribution channels with the aim of maximising revenue through forecasting and budgeting
- Manage rates, room inventory, distribution channels and market segmentation
- Effectively manage and be in control of all inventory (transient, group, wholesale allotments and other) and pricing strategy in all distribution channels including brand website and 3rd party sites.
- Identify new revenue opportunities and provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
- Maintain complete knowledge of room availability for each day, including restricted dates, rates and room types breakdown
- Analysis of data, booking patterns and market trends and generating reports
- Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity / functional.
- Evaluate performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, corporate, groups etc).
- Monitor competitors and market to develop rate and market-mix strategies
- Have good knowledge on all room rates/packages and promotions
- Supervision of reservations team in meeting the daily business needs, including conducting training and guidance to the Revenue & Reservations department
- Coordinate and work with other departments in sales fulfilment
- Develop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish the work for the department
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by General Manager from time to time
SKILLS & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Administration/ Revenue Management/ Business/ Finance or related field
- At least 15 years of relevant working experience within the hotel industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory position
- Experience in both local & international brands preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including email
- Knowledge in various platforms (eg Lanyon, Amadeaus, Duetto etc)
- Knowledge in OPERA Cloud will be advantageous
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Multi-tasking skills with attention to details and deadlines
- Ability to lead and train team members
- Ability to communicate and interact with various stakeholders of all levels
