You are entrusted with the responsibility to lead in the strategic directions, manage the manpower and oversee the daily operations of the assigned Active Ageing Centre (AAC) to fulfill its intended purposes as stipulated by the funders and Loving Heart (LH).


Responsibilities:

1. Staff Management

  • Collaborate with HR to recruit and develop centre staff, ensuring each team member’s strengths and potential are maximised for effective and efficient deployment in the AAC.
  • Champion a learning culture within the team by providing guidance and support to enhance staff capabilities and build capacity.

2. Strategic Planning (Community Outreach and Stakeholder Management)

  • Develop a comprehensive Community Outreach Plan to achieve the annual targets for AAC 2.0.
  • Oversee the planning of communication and publicity materials to promote the Active Ageing Programmes.
  • Formulate strategies for asset mapping to reinforce existing relationships, identify and connect with new community partners, and cultivate sustainable partnerships to support services for seniors.
  • Take a proactive role in engaging and maintaining partnerships with community stakeholders to better meet seniors’ needs.

3. Centre Operations

  • Lead regular reviews, planning, and evaluation of programme rollouts at AAC, ensuring all activities (both within and beyond the Centre) align with the AAC 2.0 service guidelines.
  • Oversee the systematic collection and documentation of data for reporting purposes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Closely monitor each centre’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), implementing measures to gather and report data within the designated timeframes.
  • Manage the allocated budget with a focus on adherence, optimising resource use and ensuring all expenditures align with planned budgets.

4. Other Duties

  • Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by reporting officer


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Degree or Graduate Diploma in the field of Social Sciences (i.e. Social Work/ Gerontology) preferred
  • At least 4 years of experience in direct operational roles such as running a social service-related Centre (preferably in the area of Eldercare)
  • Prior supervisory experience, with at least 2 staff reporting to him/ her
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to develop and build relationship with wide variety of community partners
  • Knowledge in financial management – adherence to allocated budget and ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Strong administrative skills – good documentation and report writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Enjoy working with seniors
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a team player, yet able to work independently.
  • Strong communications skills, preferably bilingual.
  • Dynamic, quick thinking, adaptable and responsive to change.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
