ABOUT THE ROLE:
As an Manager in the F&B sector, you will report to the Operations Manager (OM) and join the Operations Team on an exciting journey. This role offers opportunities to deepen your understanding of managing food courts and coffee shops.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations:
- Lead a team of Food Court salespersons to achieve sales targets and enhance overall outlet performance.
- Guide F&B Supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Set clear directions and provide guidelines to the operations team in accordance with company SOPs and workflows.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, relevant authorities/agencies, and stall tenants.
- Support inspections from authorities (e.g., NEA, SFA, Civil Defense) during outlet evaluations and follow up on necessary actions.
- Collaborate with landlords on building matters, joint promotions, and events.
- Market food stalls to tenants and ensure timely rental collections.
- Oversee lease renewals, negotiate terms, and follow up with stall tenants.
- Source qualified tenants and food offerings to fill vacant stalls, ensuring full occupancy.
- Propose activities based on market demand.
- Initiate prompt legal actions for debt recovery (e.g., stall rentals) to minimize credit losses.
- Manage daily sales settlements.
- Partner with Business Development and Project teams to identify new business opportunities and oversee renovations.
- Ensure financial and operational performance for the designated food courts and coffee shops.
- Collaborate with senior management and financial teams on outlet budgets.
- Develop comprehensive business plans and provide regular performance reports, including sales and budget analyses, to senior management.
- Suggest strategies to improve the profitability of outlets.
- Uphold and enhance quality and service standards.
- Mentor employees through ongoing feedback and performance expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections of hygiene, service quality, and product standards, providing feedback to stall tenants.
- Ensure stall pricing aligns with agreements.
- Evaluate the performance of stall tenants.
- Supervise stall tenants and cleaning contractors to maintain high service quality and cleanliness.
- Conduct weekly and monthly outlet meetings.
- Ensure maintenance and engineering work proceeds according to schedule.
Administration:
- Review staff performance and recommend actions for confirmations, promotions, and training.
- Address disciplinary issues, grievances, and conflicts within the team.
- Manage termination procedures in line with company guidelines.
- Effectively communicate company policies and procedures to team members and stall tenants.
- Oversee outlet float, petty cash, and daily sales collections.
- Ensure accuracy in daily sales reporting and timely banking.
- Submit outlet reports promptly.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports to senior management.
- Implement cost control measures for all expenses according to budget.
- Take necessary actions against stall tenants and contractors for non-compliance with service standards and agreements.
- Perform any other assigned tasks as needed.
