About the role
As a Building Maintenance Technician at Knight Frank Strata Management business unit, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our buildings and estates. Reporting to the Site Head, you will perform a variety of technical tasks such as hands-on repairs, routine safety checks and preventive maintenance, to keep the facilities at optimal condition. We are seeking a proactive team player with relevant experience in building maintenance.
What you will be doing:
- Hands-On Repairs: Perform a variety of general building repairs, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, and painting. Read and interpret technical diagrams, including electrical and plumbing drawings and site plans.
- Daily Safety Checks: Conduct routine checks for electrical safety hazards, water ponding, and collaborate with security personnel to maintain site safety.
- Preventive and Ad-Hoc Maintenance: Assist in executing both scheduled and on-demand maintenance tasks to keep facilities in optimal condition.
- Monitoring M&E Systems: Maintain accurate records of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) readings and monitor the performance of systems and equipment.
- Supervision of Contractors: Assist in overseeing maintenance and servicing work conducted by external contractors, reporting any irregularities or concerns to the site manager.
What we’re looking for someone who’s:
- At least 1 year relevant working experience in building maintenance.
- Good knowledge of building, mechanical & electrical systems.
- Able to communicate and interact with people and a good team player.
- Minimum NITEC in Building Services / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
