Job Summary:

The Senior Project Coordinator will oversee and manage various aspects of project execution, ensuring that all project activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, managing project documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Project Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop detailed project plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary.

2. Budget Management:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets.
  • Track project expenses and ensure cost control measures are in place.
  • Report on financial performance and variances.

3. Tender and Quotation Management:

  • Prepare and review tender documents and quotations.
  • Coordinate the tendering process, including bid evaluation and contract award.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality.

4. Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications.

5. Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.

6. Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project.
  • Prepare contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.

7. Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor junior project coordinators and other team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination within the process or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
