Position Overview: We are seeking an HSEQ Executive to assist in driving operational excellence initiatives and support the management of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSEQ) aspects. This role will play a crucial part in enhancing processes and performance while ensuring adherence to best practices within the industry.
You will report directly to the HSEQ Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the documentation flow for safety management, performing quality checks in accordance with ISO standards and identifying compliance issues.
- Ensure timely completion of reports and correspondence by functional departments across the organization.
- Monitor HSEQ programs and maintain status reports, preparing necessary tender documents.
- Participate in incident investigations, ensuring thorough reporting with root cause analysis and lessons learned are documented in the company's database.
- Assist in developing and distributing internal and external Health and Safety Alerts and incident management information.
- Contribute to fostering a positive safety culture and engage in both internal and external audits to ensure policy compliance.
- Track HSEQ statistics and customer satisfaction metrics, and undertake additional duties as assigned by the HSEQ Manager.
Qualifications:
- A self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Minimum Specialist Diploma in HSE or a relevant marine discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in HSE, particularly in the marine, shipping, or ship repair sectors.
- Strong passion for HSE, with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to build relationships with external partners.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Practical experience in HSEQ tasks and occupational health and safety training, with a good understanding of ISM and ISPS codes, incident investigation techniques, and risk management.
- Preferred qualifications include being an internal auditor for ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
