Department Overview
Nomura's IT department provides technology solutions to support the company's business activities. The team works closely with senior leadership, business units, and stakeholders to develop and implement effective IT strategies, providing guidance on technology selection and implementation while ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability. Nomura's IT team specializes in software development, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and data analytics and is known for providing exceptional service to clients. With a strong track record and commitment to innovation and global reach, Nomura's IT department is well-positioned to continue driving growth and success in the financial industry.
Responsibilities Include:
- Liaise and communicate with global teams to support firm wide IT initiatives.
- Provide technical support to all users in the region.
- Ensure undisrupted system function (network and applications) and availability at all times.
- Maintain and monitor system and server capability health
- Upkeep IT documentation with regular and timely updates, including and not limited to,
- Inventory list of software/hardware/license
- Change management
- List of user access right for global and local system
- Account creation/deletion
- Incident summary report for all Asia offices
- Daily operational report for all Asia offices
- Maintenance of secondary office site, system platform and system setup.
- All other technical support scope of responsibilities not listed and any ad-hoc project assignment.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of infrastructure IT and strong project management experience
- Be familiar with global network and business operation applications (e.g. CR-IMS, XENOS, TSTAR/GX, BBH Infomediary, Salesforce, Bloomberg, FACTSET) and to resolve encountered issues without delay, to minimize disruption to operation and business impact.
- Experience in designing / implementation of system infrastructure on Amazon AWS Cloud
- Business level Japanese language proficiency required to liaise with stakeholders in Head Office.
