We are partnered with an top asset management firm to look for a L1 Infrastructure Engineer. This role will be a 6 month contract at the initial basis and is covertible to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support for IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Monitor system performance and respond to alerts to ensure maximum uptime.
- Assist with hardware and software installations, configurations, and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and other team members to improve system reliability and performance.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of hardware and software assets.
- Support users with IT-related inquiries and escalate complex issues as necessary.
- Participate in on-call support rotation as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in an infrastructure environment.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts, server administration, and virtualization.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and common applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent) are a plus.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a bonus.
