- Organizing: Managing orders and deliveries of construction materials, and organizing staff work schedules
- Controlling: Ensuring work is proceeding on schedule and within budget
- Supervising: Supervising workers and subcontractors, and ensuring they adhere to construction plans and safety regulations
- Inspecting: Performing equipment, material, and routine site inspections
- Communicating: Communicating project expectations and progress to clients, construction workers, and subcontractors
- Reporting: Writing up reports, budgets, and project plans, and presenting them to relevant stakeholders
- Safety: Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
- Training: Assisting with the recruitment and training of new staff
A construction supervisor may also work closely with architects and other professionals.
