ABOUT THE COMPANY

CLINUVEL a global specialty pharmaceutical group focused on developing and commercialising treatments for patients with genetic, metabolic, systemic, and life-threatening, acute disorders, as well as healthcare solutions for the general population. We are seeking new talent to join our Research, Development & Innovation Centre in Singapore, VALLAURIX, to lead the development of the next generation of CLINUVEL’s product pipeline.


DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE

  • Based in Singapore, the Analytical Chemist is expected to:
  • Independently develop and validate analytical assays for raw materials, prototype products, clinical formulations and stability samples in accordance with current ICH or other relevant guidelines.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems with analytical methods.
  • Develop and validate in vitro dissolution or transdermal assays.
  • Perform routine analytical testing in-house and externally and present results clearly and concisely to management.
  • Record details of all experiments performed in laboratory notebook in accordance to GLP standards.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness in laboratory.
  • Perform routine calibration of analytical equipment and arrange for external vendors to calibrate or maintain equipment in accordance with SOPs.
  • Enforcement of safety rules in the laboratory in compliance with safety regulations.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ROLE (UPDATE ROLE SPECIFIC)

  • A minimum of 2 years professional experience as an analytical chemist in a pharmaceutical development or manufacturing facility.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in analytical equipment including HPLC and UV-Visible spectrophotometers.
  • Experience in LC/MS is an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of ICH guidelines with regards to analytical method development.
