With WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1
WORKING HOURS 44 HOURS PER WEEK WITH ROSTER DUTY OFF DAY
WORKING EXPERIENCES MINIMUM 02 YEARS.
JOB DESCRIPTION
● Report to Duty on time and in a neat uniform attire.
● Ensure that all service equipment is sufficient and clean in his/her section.
● Prepare, arrange and serve all food by using standard recipes, presentation instructions in accordance with the standard established by chef in-charge.
● Prepare Food/Store requisition in the absence of the chef in-charge.
● Assist in food production in any other area as and when required.
● Assist in the preparation and checking of stocks during stock taking.
● Ensure that all machines, furniture, equipment and utensils are clean and in working condition at all times, and the kitchen is always clean and in a safe condition to prevent unnecessary accidents.
● Observe and test food being cooked and sample all food prepared.
● Check on delivery supplies to determine freshness, quality, and quantity.
● Ensure that kitchen equipment and utensils are handled and used properly.
● Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of equipment, work areas in co-ordination with Stewarding.
● Perform the duties of a Chef when necessary.
● Be fully familiar with all emergency procedures established by KAI.
● Observe and comply with the house rules and regulations of the department.
● Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.
● Conserves energy and water at all times, without jeopardizing the guest experience and comfort.
● Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
● Check and verify food stock levels and ensure that they are in accordance with the accepted level established by chef in-charge
● Carry out mise-en-place, preparation, cutting and deboning of meats, cooking and arranging of food as instructed.
● Receive instruction from the chef in-charge and prepare food production of complex dishes.
● Preparation and production of dishes.
● Report to the In-charge on discrepancies or mistakes and make recommendations on improvement in his /her section.
● Clean the refrigerators and work tables, and ensure that his/her work station is clean at all times.
● Supervise dishing out of food portions to guests or team members. Attend to meal suggestions and report to the chef in-charge.
● Utilize leftover food and convert unconsumed cooked food to other dishes.
● Participate in the activities of kitchen such as cleaning, mise-en-place & cooking
● Prepare requisitions of food items based on a planned food menu
● Any other duties assigned
