Roles & Responsibilities:
The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring high-quality products, exceptional customer service, and efficient workflow. This role includes managing staff, inventory, and production while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise bakery staff. Schedule shifts and manage employee performance. Production Oversight: Ensure the preparation and presentation of baked goods meet quality standards. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, address customer inquiries, and handle complaints effectively.Financial Management: Monitor sales, manage budgets, and assist in setting pricing strategies. Prepare reports on bakery performance.Sanitation and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery.Menu Development: Collaborate on product development and seasonal menu changes to enhance offerings and attract customers.Marketing: Assist in promoting bakery products through in-store displays, social media, and community events.
Qualifications:
Must have experience in a bakery or food service management role. Strong leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Basic understanding of budgeting and inventory management.
Must prepare to work on weekends and public holidays.
