We are currently looking for a EHS Specialist to join us on a contract role to help us deliver various projects in the Life Sciences Industry.
Key Attributes/Responsibilities
· Pre Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR): Facilitate and support PSSRs for new projects and modifications to existing facilities, ensuring compliance with internal safety standards and MOM regulations.
· Process Safety Reviews: Perform thorough reviews for projects including BD, DD, CD, and DFS, identifying potential risks and implementing necessary safety measures.
· HAZOP Studies: Lead and participate in HAZOP studies, focusing on operational safety by pinpointing significant risks and confirming the effectiveness of safeguards.
· Contractor Safety Management: Manage the contractor safety management system, which includes the prequalification process, safety audits, and risk assessments (RA, MSRA). Ensure that contractor operations adhere to regulatory and internal safety standards.
· Audits and Inspections: Carry out regular inspections and audits of contractor work on-site to verify compliance with EHS policies and ensure prompt resolution of any non-conformance issues.
· Toolbox Briefings & PTW Training: Conduct toolbox briefings and lead Permit to Work (PTW) training sessions for employees and contractors to promote EHS awareness.
· Process Safety Indicators: Collect, analyze, and report on both leading and lagging indicators for process safety, providing insights to senior management for ongoing improvement.
· Contractor Management: Supervise contractor risk assessments, monitor document expiration dates, and ensure timely renewal of safety certifications and policies.
· Field Walk-Downs: Lead field walk-downs during PSSR and HAZOP reviews to identify hazards and verify adherence to safety protocols.
