The PITCH
Senior Strategists are tasked with the oversight and growth of an account, helping the strategy director and agency leadership to set and execute a vision for it.
A senior strategist will be tasked with ensuring the strategists & Post Creative Strategists (PCS) reporting to them are supported, delivering great briefs, strong work and insightful strategy to guide creative and media. In addition, the senior strategist will help to identify proactive opportunities, look for areas to elevate the work to new heights and help tie together granular insights / opportunities with big, impactful activations.
Your day to day can oversee any part of the strategic process, from helping PCS (junior strategists tasked with cultural insights and observations) find amazing signals in the world, to helping team members shape briefs or discussing the effectiveness of our campaigns. You will aim to be the client’s key advisor on what to do and why to do it.
This exciting opportunity of a full-time role based in Singapore will allow you to collaborate with the local team as well learn from the experts globally. You will manage and drive our strategy expertise and someone who is familiar with the Singapore landscape.
Here’s where you come in.
- Vocal and inventive champion with the ability to break down complex tasks and create clarity from complexity.
- Implementation knowledge of end-to-end customer experience strategies, including customer research, strategy, vision & design
- Keen sense of developing strategy solutions, from brand strategy, down to tactical social, content and influencer strategies
- Help to set, plan and execute the strategic vision of an account - growing it through strong thinking and great work
- Guiding junior members of the team (strategists and PCSs) to grow and build clear, actionable briefs
- Providing strategic guidance and leadership to creative and media team members on an account
- Identifying insights from current content performance and championing their potential to become larger activations and campaigns.
- Well versed with the ability to leverage VaynerMedia tools, research and platforms to: perform content audits, produce performance reports for campaigns and always-on social and provide analytical insights from results
- Collaborate with the media team to provide holistic success measurement frameworks.
- Implement social analysis for campaigns/events and present insights back to inform content /Media decisions for campaign/event activities and advise on actions to take from optimizations standpoint.
- Bring the consumer’s world to life for creative teams and clients using qualitative and cultural mining and insightful hands-on synthesis of quantitative research to inform a strategic approach.
- Pull and interpret data from social listening tools including volume, sentiment, conversation drivers, influencers, and ‘unobvious’ observations and insight etc.
- Develop distinct and differentiated audience segmentations that are connected to strategic decisions and creative ways-in.
- Articulate effective strategic rationale and logic flow that will help form a compelling story.
- Deck crafter - someone that can detail out ideas and insights that are clear and can sell!
- Ample experience in digital agency life and social/digital content creation to fully grasp the technical aspects of creating content as well as understanding the digital consumer journey and how to engage through a digital architecture map for end-to-end campaigns.

- 5+ years experience as a strategist in a media or creative advertising agency in the Singapore market.
- Can deliver work independently on all tasks and achieves results at pace with energy and drive.
- Can actively participate in collaboration sessions with other teams.
- Can execute a strong sense of priority level and urgency; and knows how to act on the critical difference between the two.
- Can manage the ongoing performance of different tasks or projects, as well as understanding and ownership of internal processes for quality assurance.
- Can administer agreed goals or projects by dealing to challenges in a responsive and constructive way.
- Can foster positive internal communication and collaboration with all internal teams.
- Can ensure presented ideas are clear and understood.
- Can provide clear, professional, timely and helpful information to the team or external clients and partners.
