The Specialist of Operations is responsible for planning and carrying out a variety of activities to produce SEMICON Southeast Asia and other events including managing facility, budget, vendors and onsite operations. This role requires ability to plan and implement the activities timely, coordinate internal and external stockholders and resources. The Specialist will ensure the positive results of the events/projects and work closely with the SEMI regional offices.
This is a Contract position, reports to the Team Lead, Operation

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Act as main point of contact and facilitate communications with expo partners and external parties. (Including exhibitors, contractors, security, facility management, caterers, etc.)
· Reinforce the exhibitor engagement and communication to have better relationship.
· Understand the in-and-outs of show operations as well as show rules and regulations to ensure all internal and external show deadlines are met
· Coach the new team member to adapt SEMI’s culture and deliver good services to customers.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Coordinate all events and exposition logistics – work with internal and external stakeholders to plan, produce and manage annual SEMICON Southeast Asia exhibition and other events. Define, select, negotiate, and manage all event-related contractors/vendors such as event facilities provider, decoration, registration, signage, commercials, convention housing, catering, A/V, temporary help, security, etc.
· Manage overall show operations’ budgets - ensure show projects are completed within budget.
· Communication: Communicates well both verbally and in writing, creates accurate and punctual reports, delivers presentations, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.
· Improve customers experience – enhance registration experience. Manage floor plan and develop engaging floor activities. Handle booth assignment process (I.e., waitlists, competitors, membership issues, priority points, etc.). Develop and execute strategies for increasing customers (exhibitors and visitors) satisfaction based on analyses of client satisfaction surveys.
· Project Management: Establishes project goals, milestones, and procedures, defines roles and responsibilities, acquires project resources, coordinates projects throughout company, monitors project progress, and manages multiple projects.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
· You have helped maximize SEMICON Southeast Asia booth inventory revenue and gross margin.
· You have established the dependable, professional relationships needed with vendors, exhibitors, and other program stakeholders necessary to create a strong event

FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE OR PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE:
· Education – Diploma or equivalent working experience
· Minimum of 3 years of working experience working in an exhibition, conference, and/or event environment
· Experience managing vendors from bid to selection to execution
· Excellent computer skills - especially Office, floor planning and event registration systems
