Organisation Overview
Formerly Very Special Arts Singapore, ART:DIS, established in 1993, is a non-profit dedicated to enhancing learning and livelihood opportunities for persons with disabilities (PwDs) through the arts. Our diverse programmes nurture the artistic interests of PwDs, bolstering their self-confidence and integrating them into a supportive community beyond formal education.
Our professional development pathways ensure sustainable impact, offering valuable work experience to empower PwDs for independent living. We run 3 centres in the community, and serve over 870 individuals annually through the 27 programmes we organise.
Role Overview
This role specifically focuses on growing livelihood opportunities for our artists with disabilities, mainly through the sale of their artwork merchandise, artwork license and commissioned work opportunities.
The sales channels include various public pop-up events e.g. Boutiques Fair, Clay Fest Market, and you would be responsible for the logistics preparation and sale of our merchandise at these events, engaging directly with public customers.
Part of your role also requires you to engage with corporates for commissioned art, corporate workshops and corporate gifting needs.
The role will report directly to the Executive Director covering the following work tracks:
- Sales of merchandise (@art.dis.studio | www.artdis-studio.com)
- Commission artworks;
- Corporate Workshops;
- Sale of artworks and artworks licenses;
- Account manage existing partnerships with government agencies, corporates and individuals, families and grow new leads.
- Manage administrative tasks such as issuing quotations and sales invoices, arranging logistic supports (product packing, printing, setting up in booth sales)
- Manage and participate in pop-up events for ARTDIS Studio
Qualifications/skillsets:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree
- Good interpersonal skills to engage with team mates and stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills
- Resourceful, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong planning and organisational/administrative skills
- Able to handle deadlines and stress in fast paced environment
Work Experience
- At least 2 years of working experience in events management / sales / arts & design sector would be an advantage
