Our esteemed client seeks an accomplished Global Internal Audit Director to lead their operational audit function with strategic vision and a focus on excellence. The Director will design and implement a global, risk-based audit plan, manage complex projects, and collaborate closely with senior management to provide actionable insights that drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency. The Role
The Director will strategically plan, prioritize, and manage multiple global audit and advisory projects, delivering independent assurance, advice, and insight on critical business matters. This role includes leading annual risk assessments and crafting a comprehensive, risk-based audit plan that anticipates emerging challenges. Overseeing a team of auditors, the Director will design and implement audit programs, conduct process interviews, document key operational controls, and provide actionable recommendations by integrating financial and operational data. Reporting results effectively to management, they will also foster talent within the audit function, preparing future leaders for the organization. Collaboration with divisional and functional leaders is key, working transparently to devise practical solutions to audit issues. This role champions efficiency through automation and digital transformation initiatives, scaling the audit function to meet organizational growth. Additionally, the Director will advocate for internal controls, sharing best practices to continuously improve and add value across the organization.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least 15 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a leadership role. Someone who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and resilience under pressure. With strong executive presence, this candidate must excel in communication and presentations, engaging effectively with senior management in a matrixed structure. A driven self-starter, independent thinker, and quick learner, combining analytical acumen with a proactive mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and a natural curiosity for continuous learning and improvement are vital traits to succeed in this role.
