Currently looking for professionals to join the Consulting & Services team as Project Manager.
To be based in Singapore, the person will be responsible for managing product implementations and post implementation support. The person must be highly client focused with excellent relationship building skills.
The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of client implementations as a member of the Implementation Team. The primary focus will be managing the implementation objectives of customers. In addition, he/she will support the organization’s growth by applying a clearly defined project management approach for both new and existing client implementations.
The person will likely come from a technical background with demonstrated experience of delivering healthcare IT projects in an onsite – offshore model. The role demands a pragmatic, hands-on approach to delivery and working closely with our Sales and Engineering teams. The candidate must be motivated by the challenge of building a culture of continuous improvement and celebrated success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and lead small/ medium/ large sized implementations
- Develop detailed work plans, schedule estimates, resource plans, status reports and implementation priorities.
- Direct teams of business and technical contributors to ensure the successful delivery of properly scoped, on-time, within budget, high-quality solutions.
- Responsible for project documentation and management of daily work assignments; performs project status reporting.
- Take internal initiatives that may cut across all Napier geographies; provide guidance to team members involved and give business updates on such initiatives to Leadership team
- Lead people 1-1, in groups, and in project meetings.
- Ensure factual, timely, and quality implementations tracking, analysis, and reporting using a variety of documents and communication strategies.
- Ensure team has necessary tools to perform.
- Provide guidance to implementation team on technical and functional fees.
- Review project delivery and ensure adherence to Napier quality standards and customer expectations.
- Obtain sign-offs on all deliverables from key parties.
- Make timely and appropriate decisions to ensure implementations are on track for successful delivery; and escalate when needed.
- Review implementation process to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to the process.
- Assist with selection, orientation and mentoring of new team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations in a timely manner and recognize exceptional employee performance.
- Improve technical and functional skills, creativity and problem solving ability of team members.
- Contribute to Napier knowledge repository (case studies, process documents, training documents etc.) Perform any additional duties as assigned.
- Provide project effort to bid team.
- Travel as required.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ years of work experience primarily in a software implementation role managing people, processes and project delivery.
- 3-5 years of implementation lead and project management experience.
- Demonstrate a strong application of project management methodology in delivering projects, especially in the healthcare provider space.
- Exceptional communication skills to converse with all levels of clients; internal and external.
- Must have a working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and prioritize appropriately to meet project deadlines.
- Self-motivated, pro-active and effective in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Adept at leveraging the value of an onsite / off-shore model.
- Ability to travel to other regional and international sites.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience).
- Experience implementing healthcare IT solutions (onsite/ offshore model) for US providers would be an added advantage.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM) preferred.
