This internship in Singapore provides an opportunity to gain real-world experience in the fund management industry and to contribute meaningfully to our business development efforts.
Role Overview:
As a Business Development Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of our fund distribution network across Singapore and Asia. Your work will primarily focus on engaging with financial advisors, wealth managers, and private banks to introduce our group and funds, and assist in the fund onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Outreach and Relationship Building:
- Proactively contact financial advisors, wealth managers, private banks, placement agents, platforms to introduce our funds and schedule meetings with our team.
- Support in organizing meetings and presentations with potential distribution partners.
- Assist in maintaining and updating client records, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Fund Onboarding Support:
- Assist with the fund onboarding process by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely communication and follow-ups with clients during the onboarding phase.
- Keep up-to-date with regulatory requirements and assist in aligning fund onboarding procedures accordingly.
Market Research and Reporting:
- Conduct market research to identify new business development opportunities and assist in the preparation of competitive analyses.
- Prepare regular reports on outreach activities, client engagement, and onboarding progress for management review.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage confidently with partners.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Interest in fund management, financial markets, and wealth management services.
Duration: 3 to 6 months, with flexibility based on academic schedule.
