Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements for the vision module and translate them into innovative mechanical designs
- Develop detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications for components and assemblies
- Conduct feasibility studies and performance assessments to optimize the design for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness
- Perform structural analysis and simulations to ensure the design meets performance and reliability requirements
- Drive design reviews and coordinate with suppliers to procure components and materials
- Support prototype build and testing activities to validate the design and iterate on improvements as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred
- At least 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design in the semiconductor industry or related field
- Proficiency in CAD software (such as Creo/ SolidWorks/ AutoCAD) in designing components and assemblies
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome challenges
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
- Knowledge of optical systems and vision technologies is a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Competent in communicating in Chinese as this role require close partnership with peers and team members based in China
