Account Executive

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including responding to inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
  • Conduct banking operations including GIRO, FAST, and TT payments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely computation of GST and CPF.
  • Prepare and maintain the Fixed Asset Register for all projects.
  • Maintain organized documentation and perform ad-hoc accounting tasks.
  • Utilize ERP systems such as Hash Micro for daily accounting tasks.

Accounts Payable Task

  • Review purchase invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approval before payment.
  • Reconcile supplier statements if there are any disputes and to correct the discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate files and documentation in line with company policy and accounting standards, updating payment and vendor files with appropriate file numbers.
  • Ensure all accounting records and payments are accurately update in Synergix/Hash micro software.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger in Synergix /Hash micro software on a daily basis.
  • Handle and prepare all petty cash claims after obtaining approval from the Finance Manager/ Accounts Manager.

Accounts Receivable Tasks

  • Ensure all sales invoices are timely and accurately updated on a daily basis on Synergix/Hash micro software.
  • Accurately record customer payments in Synergix/Hash Micro and prepare the debtors' ageing report.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in establishing, reviewing and enhancing the internal control processes that govern the finance department
  • Participate in the full spectrum of closing activities including processing of accruals and period-end journalisation on a monthly basis

Qualifications:

  • Minimum have diploma, advanced/higher/graduate diploma, bachelor’ degree in related field
  • With at min. 5 years relevant experiences as Account Executive (experience in construction industry is preferable)
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as Synergix or Hash Micro is preferable
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks
