What you'll do:
In your role as a Production Support Lead (Contract), you will play a crucial part in managing and implementing change operations across various domains such as online banking, wealth management systems, financial systems, contact centre systems, and merchant portals. You will be responsible for handling over 200-250 application, infrastructure, and network changes during weekend windows. Your ability to work effectively with global teams will be key in orchestrating change schedules and executing deployments. Your leadership skills will be put to use as you direct complex traffic management actions and escalate high-impact issues.
- Manage and review change requests for applications, patching, and infrastructure/network updates.
- Work together with counterparts on planning application upgrades, monthly releases, and network infrastructure changes.
- Collaborate with global teams to orchestrate change schedules, execute deployments, and address ongoing operational issues.
- Cover shift hours from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm, with flexibility to ensure thorough handover to the next team.
- Serve as the client-facing contact for change operations, providing regular updates on planned outages and change status.
- Act as a leadership figure within the team, directing complex traffic management actions and escalating high-impact issues to senior leadership.
- Design deployment strategies and maintain a library of deployment script templates.
