Job Scope & Responsibilities:
- Preparation of tender programme for tendering, estimation and preliminary master schedules detailing the sequence of all tasks to be performed within the stipulated contractual period.
- To update, revise project programme and determine critical path at regular intervals
- To draft letters relating to time and resource related matters
- To work with Projects Controls Manager on producing necessary reports and highlight key time, resourcing and cost related matters for follow up
- Incorporate Resource and Cost Loading data into schedules as required by the contracts specification.
- Interface with site team, consultants, designers, owner’s representatives, and subcontractors to discuss impact of work and resolution of scheduling problems.
- To be in charge of overall planning for projects undertaken by the company and work closely with project managers, commercial staff and site planners
- Overall in charge of master schedule updating for each project undertaken by the company and lead/advise site planners in:
- Creating detailed programmes/sub-programmes, evaluate actual construction progress and provide
regular schedule updates.
- Preparation of narrative for programme submission
- Compilation of schedules and documents required for monthly/weekly progress reporting
- Reviewing of programmes submission from sub-contractors and giving feedback/comments
- Identifying causes of delay and record the impact to progress and critical path analysis.
- Developing revised programmes reflecting mitigation/acceleration measures to recover loss time
Skills, Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
- Preferably degree holder in construction discipline subjects (i.e. Process, Mechanical, Civil Engineering)
- Has knowledge of Process Plant Requirements and features
- Sound knowledge of schedule systems, principles and practices required.
- Proficient in planning software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera Project Planner Ver 3, Primavera Enterprise/version 6 or later version
- Familiarity on usage of WBS and activity coding in programme structure
- Good understanding of contract specifications especially scheduling requirements and time related clauses
- Experience in building, rail and civil engineering projects
- Successful candidates must have a strong planning background and experience in working for a main contractor
