JOB SUMMARY

Your role will be to execute and lead social work aspects of the work in Project Bridge which serves youths@risk, as well as to establish systems and processes to enable the success and empowerment of youths@risk. The role includes case management, programme design, coordination and execution of youth-related events. This job is one that is highly interactive - you will also be working with youth volunteer groups and staff from partnering tertiary institutions and organisations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Network and partner with relevant stakeholders and organizations.
  • Manage volunteers and provide supervision for volunteers and interns.
  • Conduct analysis, develop and implement programmes and services to meet the needs of the community according to the direction of the organization.
  • Oversee and maintain case work integrity and quality.
  • Provide follow-up contact either by phone or in person with youth and families to offer support and assistance in accessing community resources.
  • Liaise with schools, parents, volunteers and other agencies to provide the support young people and follow up where necessary.
  • Refine reports and processes concerning new or on-going programmes and programmes effectiveness.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, research youth trends and other ad-hoc projects where necessary.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff in case management, department oversight and organizational alignment where appropriate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Social Work with at least 3 years of experience in casework.
  • Registered Social Worker with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW) is preferred.
  • A passion for working with the youth-at-risk with high and complex needs.
  • Experience with out-of-school youths and youths-at-risk is an advantage.
  • A good team player with a pleasant personality and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to conduct individual and group intervention sessions.
  • Manages time and workload in an often-demanding environment and is self-driven to achieve set goals and tasks.
  • Must be willing to travel to meet the clients/youths within appropriate scheduled times.
  • A strong sense of ownership with accountability to relevant authorities is required.
