Responsibilities
- Take charge of ship repair, construction, and conversion projects, providing direction and management.
- Lead daily VSCC meetings to address safety concerns related to hot works and incompatible tasks onboard, ensuring the well-being of personnel and property.
- Ensure adherence to repair/refit schedules through effective planning, project monitoring, cost control, and timely execution.
- Cultivate positive relationships with customers, fostering teamwork and demonstrating a strong commitment to their interests.
- Resolve daily conflicts at the operational level by closely monitoring and coordinating sequential and incompatible tasks that may impact the project's master schedule.
- Maintain close communication with classification societies, ship owners, specialist engineers, vessel crew, and ship agents to ensure the successful completion of projects that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Requirements
- Candidate should have previous experience chairing VSCC Meetings
- Successful candidate should have completed the Ship Repair Management Certification
- At least 7 years of experience in Marine / Heavy Industries
- Diploma or Degree in Marine / Mechanical / or Naval Architecture
- Experience in cable laying, pipe laying or turrets is highly advantageous
