Regional Network Lead - APAC (PRIT)

We are seeking an experienced Regional Network Engineer (APAC) to join Client's Network Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing Cisco-based networks and a proven track record in network troubleshooting and project management. This role requires advanced expertise in routing and switching protocols, VPN solutions, and firewall management. The candidate will also collaborate closely with stakeholders, act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, and contribute to the organization’s strategic network planning and optimization initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Design & Implementation

  • Design and implement complex network solutions, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements as part of the Network Engineering Team.
  • Oversee projects and coordinate with remote vendors and internal staff to ensure smooth execution of network deployments and updates.

2. Advanced Troubleshooting & Support

  • Serve as an escalation point for resolving complex problems requiring advanced technical knowledge and research capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate errors, and perform root cause analysis for issues related to network performance, connectivity, and security.

3. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Maintain and update detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, topology maps, and system run books.
  • Share knowledge by authoring and maintaining technical documentation and system run books to facilitate knowledge transfer across teams.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate network requirements into technical solutions.
  • Communicate with customers and internal team members throughout project lifecycles, providing regular progress updates via the project management system.

5. Vendor & Compliance Management

  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, support contracts, and product lifecycle management.
  • Conduct vendor evaluations to ensure optimal alignment of product capabilities with business needs.

Requirements:

Technical Skills & Expertise

  • Expert knowledge of Cisco products, including functionality, configuration, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in key networking protocols and technologies, including:Quality of Service (QoS)
    IPSLA
    Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN)
    WAN
    , MPLS, SIP, PRI, IPSEC, and Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
  • Strong working knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF routing protocols.
  • Experience with Cisco AnyConnect VPN and Microsoft Windows networking configuration and protocols.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Network Engineer managing Cisco-based networks.
  • Proven expertise in error investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis in complex networking environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, drive tasks to completion, and deliver projects on time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or higher is highly desirable.
  • 5+ years of Cisco experience (routing with OSPF, BGP, EIGRP; switching, DMVPN, IPsec, SSL VPN).
  • 3+ years of firewall experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto.
  • Experience in the data center industry or familiarity with data center networking best practices.
  • Knowledge of Cisco DNA Center and Identity Services Engine (ISE) solutions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the SolarWinds monitoring platform for network performance tracking and alerting.
  • Experience with Meraki solutions and management tools.
