Job Duties:
- Source/develop products under house brands or external brands that align with the company's strategic goals.
- Plan/control buying budget by brands/suppliers to achieve great merchandising mix and optimal profitability.
- Conduct market research to optimize product selection, and development, and identify new opportunities.
- Develop competitive pricing strategies and monitor product performance through sales data and customer feedback.
- Lead new product launches and cooperate with marketing team to drive successful campaigns and product introductions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitor performance, and resolve any supplier-related issues promptly.
- Support marketing events, trade shows, and promotions to boost product visibility.
- Ensure product quality standards for Singapore’s market.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail or other related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in product merchandising / buying, with at least 2 years in a senior role, preferably from fashion retail or FMCG industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of achieving cost savings.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier evaluation.
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
