Job responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in the planning and execution of project plans at the site, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Oversee the management of drawings and control of technical documentation to maintain accuracy and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Capable of interpreting and designing electrical drawings and single-line diagrams, facilitating effective project execution.
- Provide guidance for electrical site installation works, ensuring adherence to best practices and project specifications.
- Manage a team of electrical workers, effectively delegating installation tasks to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct tests and inspections of Electrical and Hydraulic Control Panel installations and equipment to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
- Collaborate closely with other engineers and technicians involved in the project, fostering teamwork and effective communication.
- Implement quality control measures for electrical appliances, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Provide electrical engineering support for assigned projects, addressing technical challenges and offering expert guidance.
- Physically capable and available to work overtime, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings to meet project demands.
- Prepare bills of materials and engineering deliverables to support accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
- Perform corrective maintenance activities to rectify issues and ensure the continued operation of electrical systems.
- Plan and execute routine preventive maintenance activities, assisting the maintenance team to enhance equipment reliability.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures to proactively address potential issues and minimize downtime.
- Test appliances for problems, diagnosing issues, and proposing effective solutions to enhance performance.
- Prepare service and site progress reports to document project status and facilitate stakeholder communication.
- Possess knowledge of electrical power systems, international codes and standards, and industry-accepted electrical engineering software to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Prepare project-specific Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals and as-built documentation for future reference and compliance.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to project success.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent qualification.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the construction industry, demonstrating a solid understanding of industry practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and self-reliance.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills and a collaborative team player mindset, fostering a positive work environment.
- Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations is essential, ensuring compliance and safety on-site.
- Familiarity with CAD software is an advantage, enhancing design and documentation capabilities.
- Proficient in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems, essential for automation and control processes.
- Understanding of Hydraulic System Control, contributing to the effective management of hydraulic systems.
- Self-motivated and a positive thinker, with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to embrace challenges and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Skilled in multitasking, with a hands-on approach to work, ensuring effective task management.
- Willingness to travel overseas as required, supporting project needs and international assignments.
