Job Description & Requirements
The job role involves the implementation of case management services for ex-drug offenders in the community. The caseworker is expected to utilise evidence-based practices and provide professional delivery in supporting- and managing ex-drug offenders. He or She will be part of the Aftercare Department and will be expected to work closely with other stakeholders and other community resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assessment, implementation and review of the offender reintegration process.
- Engagement and collaboration with community agencies in the provision of correctional counselling treatment services and monitoring and assessing quality of services provided.
- Ensure integration of offender assessment and treatment services in a throughcare approach for the rehabilitation of offenders in the community
Technical Competencies:
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology or counselling.
- At least 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience required.
- Good grasp of Desistence, Risks, Needs and Responsivity (RNR) Principle, and other relevant casework theories essential.
Core Competencies:
- Comfortable to work with offenders and their families.
- Strong team player with positive attitude.
- Teachable and responsible.
Preferred achievements / characteristics:
- Clear understanding of the principles and roles of offender case management.
- Prior relevant prison experience or experience in community aftercare services.
