Job Responsibilities
- Inspect the hotel's rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces regularly.
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, and mechanical equipment.
- Handle minor repairs like fixing doors, replacing light bulbs, and repairing furniture.
- Respond quickly to guest complaints about maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures or malfunctioning equipment).
- Ensure all guest room amenities, such as air conditioning, lighting, and appliances, are working properly.
- Carry out basic electrical repairs like rewiring outlets, replacing light fixtures, and fixing power issues.
- Repair plumbing problems, including leaks, clogged drains, and faulty water systems.
- Check fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting regularly for safety.
- Maintain proper chemical levels in the swimming pool and spa.
- Create and follow a preventive maintenance schedule for hotel equipment and infrastructure.
- Work with outside contractors for specialized services (e.g., elevator maintenance, pest control).
- Monitor and evaluate contractors' work to ensure it meets hotel standards.
- Track energy usage and suggest ways to improve efficiency, such as using energy-saving equipment.
- Provide regular maintenance updates to hotel management.
