Job Responsibilities:
- Will be assigned to a project to provide technical support and department relevant responsibilities.
- Assisting C&S lead/technical manager & in charge for all civil / structural engineering matters being tasked
- Attending and being proactive in design coordination meeting with consultants / client.
- Preparing and reviewing of shop drawings / materials / MOS
- Ensure drawing registry is maintained and latest drawings / BIM models are available for all parties involved (site staff, CTD, suppliers and subcontractors).
- Ensure transmittal forms / emails are issued for latest drawings / BIM models when issued to CTD, suppliers and subcontractors.
- To study & review drawings / specifications in identifying discrepancies and issue queries to consultants accordingly via RFI
- Resolve technical issues on drawings and liaise closely with Consultants, all trades and authorities.
- Ensure BIM team update the drawings / BIM Model with the latest information available timely.
- Upkeep all submission, response for the submission and approval. Monitor the status of the submission and pursue response from the relevant parties once the response is due.
- Prepare as-built drawings / BIM Model and compile O&M Manual for submission.
- Attending VDC for civil / structural related matters. Cross check BIM model with contract drawings.
- To ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and PE design.
- To ensure material testing are carried out in timely manner and as per the specifications.
- To identify and resolve any potential site issues at the work site from technical aspect
- Attending sub-con meetings and technical meetings for structural related matters; prepare and circulate meeting minutes in a timely manner.
- Ensure all structural submissions (as-built, ST COS etc) are done prior to TOP application.
- Work with senior, PM and Site Manager in planning and executing temporary works.
- Preparing as-built drawings and submission of O&M.
- Assisting senior for structural matters related to CONQUAS assessments / submissions.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Civil / Structural or a related discipline
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience for Structural engineer & 6 years of relevant experience for Senior engineer
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and proficiency in BIM.
- Understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
- Knowledge of authority submission requirement
- Able to communicate with consultants, client, authority/government agencies and site supervisors.
