Payroll Specialist
Full time Contract / 5 days’ work week / CBD area
ABOUT THE JOB
Payroll
Work with business stakeholders on all payroll matters including outsourced and temp resources across a sector of business.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve payroll issues that may arise.
Be an advisor to your assigned business accounts on payment matters.
- Address and resolve employees’ queries and concerns in a professional and discretionary manner.
Create workflow and any process enhancement.
- To promote cohesiveness working between payroll and business stakeholders.
- Aim to remove any work obstacles.
Understand HR/Payroll system intricate workflow processes and advise system logic and behavior.
- Articulate system function and engine.
Responsible for end-to-end payroll computation and processing in compliance with local legislations
- Collate and verify timesheets and attendance, including hours worked.
- Ensure timely execution of payroll processing including distribution of pay slips and related documents.
- Have high standards in compliance and data integrity.
- Filings of statutory submissions notwithstanding IR21, IR8A, NS make-up claims and other government claims.
Prepare ad-hoc financial and operational reports when needed.
Human Resources
- Partner with assigned business unit to provide any HR advice pertaining to people’s movement. Other HR job duties will include letters’ preparation, data update, timesheet management and candidate’ engagement (interviewing coordination & onboarding) as and when.
- Consolidate and complete the government monthly, quarterly, and yearly surveys for PS entities.
- Support in work pass applications and its related activities if needed.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years’ end-to-end payroll processing and management experience
- Experience with payroll and HR
- Knowledgeable in payroll mechanism in terms of compliance and legislation.
- Proven work deliverables (workflow & process enhancement) and actual impact from payroll to business leaders.
- Meticulous, able to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment.
- High adaptability in managing different payroll scenarios.
- Advanced excel skills and working knowledge
