Job Description
- Partner with suppliers to confirm timely and efficient delivery of materials and equipment, ensuring alignment with project schedules and requirements.
- Oversee inventory updates, coordinate material handover and takeover processes, and ensure accurate tracking and documentation of all inventory movements.
- Organize and oversee laydown areas to facilitate streamlined storage, accessibility, and handling of materials, optimizing space and reducing retrieval times.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety within storage areas, addressing potential hazards and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Oversee the careful handling, labeling, and protection of all materials to prevent damage, deterioration, or contamination.
- Keep accurate maintenance records for all lifting equipment and gear, coordinating routine inspections and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance and safe operation.
- Review and verify the accuracy of all shipping documents from suppliers, ensuring compliance and completeness to avoid delays and discrepancies.
- Request and evaluate freight and transportation quotes, ensuring accuracy and securing the most cost-effective rates for project shipments.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop, plan, and prioritize logistics activities, supporting seamless project timelines and completion.
- Track incoming shipments, verify quantities, conduct inspections, and address any discrepancies or damage with relevant parties.
- Assist in identifying and resolving logistical issues, ensuring timely communication with both internal and external stakeholders to minimize project disruptions.
- Enforce adherence to health and safety regulations across all logistical operations, proactively implementing measures to reduce risks and maintain compliance.
Requirements
- Diploma/Certificate in Logistics or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant logistics experience within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on large-scale or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in logistics management, including material handling, equipment coordination, and project-based logistics planning.
- Solid understanding of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management principles, with proven experience in logistics tracking, monitoring, and reporting.
- Familiarity with maintenance scheduling for lifting equipment and gear, as well as compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
- Strong organizational abilities with an aptitude for prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to identify logistical challenges and develop effective solutions under time constraints.
- Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration with suppliers, project teams, and subcontractors; ability to convey information clearly and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
- Understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance in the construction industry, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing project needs and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadlinedriven environment.
- Proficient in Incoterms, port and air clearance procedures, and Singapore Customs regulations, including tax and duties requirements.
- Strong coordination abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of effectively conveying information across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Skilled in working within diverse teams, demonstrating adaptability and respect for different perspectives.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to shifting project requirements and timelines with flexibility and resilience.

- Will be required to work full-time on the project site in Tuas South
