Key responsibilities:
• Review and revise contracts (including NDAs, RFPs and general terms and conditions), propose amendments to address contractual, legal and commercial risks, and ensure compliance with Company’s internal policy and applicable laws
• Proofread and finalise contracts by ensuring proper formatting and alignment before arranging the contracts for signing
• Engage in contract discussion and negotiations, when necessary
• Assist in the review and revision of the Company’s policies and procedures, including PDP
• Support Company’s periodic compliance and audit exercise
• Organise and maintain document inventory list, and storage system by scanning, filing and organising documents into folders
• Support in preparing purchase orders and cover procurement tasks as needed
• Such other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Law or equivalent. Admission to the Singapore Bar is not required for this role
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, with preference given to those within the telco, IT or related industries, though not mandatory
• Solid understanding of legal terminology, contract law and regulatory compliance (especially PDPA).
• Advanced understanding of contract risk management requirements (without limitation) indemnities, liabilities and liquidity damages
• Pragmatic and solution-oriented, able to balance contractual and business risks, priorities, oversights, and compliance with a ‘can do’ attitude
• High attention to details with strong proofreading skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate clearly and concisely with a collaborative approach that avoids overly complex legal jargon.
• Proficiency in Office 365
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a proactive mindset and a positive attitude towards continuous learning
