IT Operations Support Engineer


The IT Operations & Support Engineer will provide L1 operations and technical support for PMO-PSB systems, manage service delivery, and support programme delivery initiatives. This role includes responding to user requests, managing system operations, and coordinating with stakeholders for smooth and secure IT operations.


Responsibilities:

Operations & Support:

  • Provide IT support for PMO program, with rostered standby duty after hours
  • Respond to user support requests, operational alerts, and incidents both remotely and onsite.
  • Support system testing and verification post-patch or maintenance with Ops and vendors.
  • Manage monitoring dashboards, alerts, change requests, and service management cases.
  • Maintain the Operations & Maintenance playbook and submit reports and updates.

Service Delivery Management:

  • Oversee patch management, backups, disaster recovery, and asset management with Ops and vendors.
  • Manage IT asset lifecycle (renewal, disposal) and ensure secure processes.
  • Maintain service availability, adhere to SLAs, and contribute to system support improvements.

Programme Delivery:

  • Assist in technical analysis, planning, coordination, and implementation of systems for programmes.
  • Maintain documentation and support cyber security, compliance, and change management.
  • Administer technical systems, and cloud infrastructure, and monitor for programme delivery.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvements for operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years in IT operations or service delivery, with exposure to the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience in service delivery management and maintaining SLAs/OLAs.
  • Knowledge in one or more areas: coding (C#, Java), DevOps, cloud computing, cybersecurity, server administration, infrastructure, and service delivery is preferred
  • Familiarity with project management and ITIL certification is highly advantageous
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude toward continuous learning and keeping current with new technologies.
