Title: Head of Procurement Excellence (Integrated Logistics & Freight Solutions Business)

About the role:
Our client is a market leader in Integrated Logistics & Freight Solutions.
The company has a reputable market position in developing high quality and customized freight capabilities and takes pride in ensuring optimized end-to-end supply chain and maritime operations management to achieve maximized customer satisfaction.
They are currently on an active look out for a suitable candidate as an experienced Head of Procurement Excellence. You will work with the business transformation teams to drive effective strategic procurement transformation and ensure a smooth flow of end-to-end category management and sourcing strategies for global sites to maximize business profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and establish Best-In-Class regional sourcing methodologies and procurement governance checklists to optimally support the business objectives globally
- Streamline or consolidate regional/ global supplier base by means of deep dive analysis, while levering on various ERP systems and technologies
- Dive into Key spend analysis and establish category strategies where necessary- to optimize both cost, quality, as well as supplier performance
- Staying aligned with up-to-date procurement regulations and market trends, with the key objective of making happen effective alternate sourcing workflow where required
- Secure cost-competitive contracts for both direct and indirect spends and drive continuous improvements in strategic supplier contracts negotiations where needed
- Ensure visibility into supply chain risks while cultivate strategic alliances with key suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms to enhance financial performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in end-to-end Procurement & Strategic Sourcing role in a complex Supply chain or Transportation environment
- Proven track record in acquired solution-oriented mindset to manage complex negotiations and contracts management for multiple sites regionally
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to relay and/or drive process improvements across a global organization to key stakeholders
- A good understanding of SAP, GEP or equivalent ERP system is highly preferred
