Job Description & Requirements
The Shipping (Customer Service) Executive will be trained on-the-job to manage all operations and documentation pertaining to a cargo voyage. The Executive will report to the Shipping Operations Leader/Manager.
Specific Responsibilities
Full oversight over a cargo voyage, including :
1. Management of vessel schedules
2. Daily monitoring of vessel operations
3. Confirmation and cross-checking of client bookings
4. Preparation of commercial shipping documentation
5. Preparation and verification of invoices for work done
Technical Skills and Competencies
1. Vessel operations management, including:
a. Shipping software (Tradenet, Portnet)
b. Voyage planning & oversight
c. Cargo stability & documentation
2. Pricing strategy formulation
3. Vendor management
4. Client relationship management
Requirements
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Proactive and resourceful and able to work independently
· Able to multi-task with strong attention to details and good organisation skills
· Good in relationship management
· Team player, adaptable and resilient
· Proficiency in MS-Office
