The Quantity Surveyor (M&E) is responsible, but not limited to, the following:
- Take off the quantity and evaluate quotations from approved vendors.
- Prepare subcontract documents and purchasing agreements.
- Performs costs estimates.
- Prepares and updates cash flow charts.
- Identify variation works.
- Verify progress claims submitted by subcontractors/suppliers and prepare payment responses/certificates.
- Estimate subcontractors’ final cost.
Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Building.
- At least 3 years of M&E Quantity Surveying experience in construction projects and/or building variation works.
- An industry recognized certification/ qualification in Quantity Surveying.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of contract/ commercial law.
- Good knowledge of construction products and materials.
- Ability to interact with various stakeholders, such as suppliers, vendors, contractors, clients, etc.
- Strong time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/ projects at one time.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and analyse construction costing information.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, impartiality and discretion.
