Responsibilities:
- Lead the team in planning, refining, implementing corrective and preventive maintenance program in accordance with regulatory requirements, international guidelines, and code of practice in areas such as, central instrumentation, media/buffer preparation, glassware washing, general store & freezer program, bio-containment A/BSL3, cGMP, Plant House, Tissue culture & Fly/Mosquito rooms, Radioisotope, etc.
- Manage and coordinate with other departments or respective stakeholders for the smooth execution of the required operations, maintenance, renovation projects, and improvement works
- Implement effective workplace, biosafety, and fire safety management program to prevent accidents/incidents for the team, stakeholders and contractors
- Establish, implement, and enhance the institute sustainability initiatives, ie. effective resource allocations, engage employees & stakeholders to be more conscientious, reduce waste, recycle, and reuse program, etc.
- Maintain all mandatory operating and regulatory licenses/permits, operational requirements for facility operation
- Manage and plan OPEX and CAPEX annual budget and oversee the annual internal/external audits
- Develop and implement an effective management system in areas ie. inventory control to ensure adequate spare parts, materials and tools are in stock to meet operational needs; manpower planning with optimal productivity and budgetary control; energy conservation and consumption; etc.
- Build an encouraging work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction, counselling, and coaching
- Oversee any other initiatives as directed by CEO
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experiences (Facility / Engineering Services / Building Infrastructure / Facility Services & Safety)
- At least 5 years of Managerial experience
- Experience in laboratory / clean room / hospital is preferred
