Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities, ensuring that LNG vessels are kept in optimal condition and comply with safety and operational standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of the vessels to assess their technical condition and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Ensure that all operations adhere to international and national regulations governing LNG transportation, including safety, environmental, and operational guidelines.
- Develop and implement training programs for crew members on LNG operations, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Establish and maintain emergency response plans specific to LNG operations, ensuring crew readiness for various scenarios.
- Prepare and manage the technical budget for the vessels, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to vessel operations, maintenance schedules, and compliance audits.
- Analyze vessel performance data, including fuel efficiency and operational reliability, and implement improvements as necessary.
- Liaise with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely procurement and servicing of technical systems and components.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on the technical status of LNG vessels, including maintenance activities, incidents, and compliance issues, and act as a liaison between the vessel and shore management.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma and above in Maritime Studies or a relevant discipline.
- CoC Class 1 Certified
- Minimum at least 2 years experience as Superintendent
- Must have sailed as Chief Engineer on LNG vessels and/or FSRU or LNGBV
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
