SCOPE OVERVIEW

  • To support daily operation tasks (Policy refund/Claims payment & Commission) and assist team members.
  • Attend policy-related queries from various departments timely.
  • Review and post month-end journals.
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of transactions to meet month-end closing deadlines.
  • Review payments, commission and policy related analysis.
  • Review Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliation in timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
  • Participate and assist in system enhancements.
  • Provide feedback to the Finance department on how to strengthen on internal controls and improve processes.
  • Any other jobs assigned by the company.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Accountancy and qualifications from professional accounting bodies would be an added advantage
  • With at least 5 years of relevant experiences in Finance Operations, preferably from the insurance industry but not a must
  • Possess knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Good time management and analytical skills
  • Meticulous and good with numbers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (such as Excel and Powerpoint) and familiarity with AS400 (insurance system), Oracle accounting software is an added advantage
  • Able to work independently and also as a good team leader
  • Demonstrate the required skill to perform detailed work accurately and promptly
  • Exemplify good communication skill and ability to communicate professionally with others both verbally and in writing
  • Display problem-solving skill even under stressful conditions and deadlines
